About these terms
These terms govern use of Path of the Nine at https://pathofthenine.com. The service is provided by Foundry Vale Ltd, company number 17465033, whose registered office is 23 Berrow Park Road, Plymouth, Devon, England, PL3 5PZ.
By creating an account, buying a reading or subscription, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Cookie and Device Storage Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Eligibility and availability
Path of the Nine is a general-audience service available internationally and is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not ask users to verify their age or country as part of ordinary account creation. If the law where you live requires a parent, guardian or other authorised person to be involved before you can buy digital services, you should obtain that involvement before making a purchase.
You must provide accurate information and keep access to your email account secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
What the service is
Path of the Nine provides digital card readings for reflective entertainment and personal exploration. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safeguarding or other professional advice. It does not promise supernatural ability, factual certainty, a particular outcome or an accurate prediction of future events.
Do not rely on a reading to make an urgent, high-risk or professional decision. If you need specialist help, contact a suitably qualified professional. In an emergency, contact the relevant emergency service.
How we use AI
Our editorial team creates and maintains the underlying card meanings, interpretive lenses, product rules and tone. When you request a personalised reading, relevant authored material, the selected cards, your submitted question and limited contextual instructions may be sent to an external AI provider so the reading can be composed. Personalised readings currently use OpenAI. Daily Card text and some other experiences may use pre-authored editorial content without sending a personal question to the AI provider.
AI-generated text can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or unexpected. A reading is for reflective entertainment and personal exploration. It is not a statement of fact, a prediction or guarantee, and it is not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safeguarding or other professional advice. Do not use a reading as the sole basis for an important decision. Verify factual claims independently and consult a qualified professional when appropriate.
Foundry Vale Ltd does not use your question or reading to train its own AI model. You remain responsible for how you interpret and use a reading. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is processed when AI is used, including the role of our AI provider.
Purchases and subscriptions
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes unless the checkout says otherwise. Before you place an order, the checkout will show the product, total price, billing frequency and key conditions.
A single paid reading currently costs £1.99 unless a different price is clearly shown before purchase. Subscription features, usage allowances and fair-use limits will be displayed on the pricing and checkout pages. We will not change the price of an existing subscription without advance notice and any consent required by law.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through Manage membership or by contacting support@pathofthenine.com. Unless a refund right applies, cancellation normally prevents the next renewal and access continues until the end of the paid billing period.
Account deletion is different: it cancels the subscription and ends subscription access immediately.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment-card number.
Immediate digital delivery
Before a paid reading is generated, we ask you to make an affirmative, unticked choice requesting immediate digital delivery. Where the law gives you a cooling-off or cancellation right that can be lost when digital-content supply begins, including the UK 14-day right where it applies, your acknowledgement records that the relevant right may be lost once generation begins. Generation will not begin until the required consent and acknowledgement have been recorded.
If you do not give that consent, immediate generation will not be available. Your statutory rights remain unaffected where content is faulty, not supplied as agreed or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
Refunds and cancellation
The Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms. In summary, a £1.99 reading may be refunded before generation begins; a failed generation does not consume the reading; persistent failure is refunded; and a completed reading is not normally refundable merely because you changed your mind. Separate rules apply to subscriptions, renewal mistakes, duplicate charges and service faults. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Your content and privacy
You keep any rights you hold in a question you submit. You grant us a limited permission to host, transmit and process it only as needed to provide, secure and support the service and meet legal obligations.
Do not submit unlawful material, another person’s confidential information, or sensitive information about another person. Do not use the service to harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate or make decisions about another person that significantly affect them.
Our content and intellectual property
The service, design, artwork, card system, authored interpretations, software and branding belong to Foundry Vale Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and your delivered readings for private, non-commercial purposes.
You must not reproduce or sell our card corpus or artwork, scrape the service, circumvent access controls, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, automate excessive requests, or use our content or outputs to train an AI model without our written permission, except where law expressly permits and cannot be excluded.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. We may maintain, repair, secure or improve the service, and may suspend a feature where reasonably necessary. If a paid feature cannot be supplied, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and your statutory rights apply.
We may update these terms. We will give reasonable advance notice of a material change that disadvantages existing subscribers. If required by law, we will ask for consent. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already accrued.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or close an account where we reasonably believe there has been serious or repeated misuse, fraud, a security threat, unlawful activity or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. We may act immediately where needed to protect users, the service or others, or to comply with law.
You may stop using the service at any time and may delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business loss arising from consumer use, or for loss caused by information or events outside our reasonable control where we have used reasonable care.
Because readings are reflective entertainment rather than professional advice, we are not responsible for decisions made in reliance on a reading except to the extent the law does not allow that responsibility to be excluded.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live, and nothing in these terms removes rights or access to courts that applicable law says cannot be excluded.
